Pelaksanaan Prenatal Yoga dalam Menurunkan Gangguan Hipertensi pada Kehamilan
Abstract
Terapi yoga meningkatkan aspek kesehatan khususnya penyakit yang berhubungan dengan stress. Bukti menunjukkan stress dapat berkontribusi terhadap penyakit jantung, kanker, stroke, serta penyakit kronis lainnya. Penelitian rtelah menunjukkan ibu yang mengalami stress prenatal meningkatkan risiko spontan aborsi, persalinan premature, malformasi janin, dan pertumbuhan janin terhambat. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat adalah Meningkatkan kesadaran awal dan pengetahuan dasar ibu hamil tentang kondisi dan manfaat prenatal Yoga. Metode yang digunakan untuk memberikan edukasi tentang pelaksanaan prenatal yoga dalam menurunkan gangguan hipertensi pada kehamilan melalui media booklet dan pelaksanaan langsung yang dilakukan di Puskesmas Graha Indah Balikpapan. Kegiatan pelayanan masyarakat menunjukkan tanggapan yang positif dari ibu hamil dan partisipasi aktif dalam proses diskusi dan pelaksanaan prenatal yoga di Puskesmas Graha Indah. Peserta pengabdian ini sebanyak 15 ibu hamil dengan hampir 90% ibu belum memahami tentang manfaat dan belum pernah melaksanakan prenatal yoga. Diharapkan bahwa masyarakat dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pelaksanaan dan manfaat prenatal yoga
