Systematic Review: Pengaruh Pemberian Cawthorne Cooksey Exercise dalam Meningkatkan Keseimbangan dan Mengurangi Dizziness pada Kasus Vestibular Disorder
Abstract
Vestibular disorder merupakan gangguan yang mempengaruhi sistem vestibular yang bertanggung jawab dalam keseimbangan tubuh untuk dapat menyadari kedudukan terhadap ruangan sekitar. Keseimbangan tubuh manusia dicapai melalui informasi sensorik yang terintegrasi secara harmonis dari visual, propioseptif, dan vestibular. Jika terjadi gangguan pada sistem vestibular maka akan menimbulkan berbagai keluhan yang akan membatasi kemampuan seseorang dalam kehidupan sehari hari. Gangguan vestibular bermanifestasi berbagai gejala termasuk dizziness, vertigo, dan ketidakseimbangan. Tujuan: mengetahui pengaruh pemberian Cawthorne Cooksey Exercise untuk meningkatkan keseimbangan dan mengurangi dizziness pada kasus vestibular disorder. Metode: systematic review dari studi randomized controlled trial. Pencarian artikel jurnal menggunakan search engine google chrome dari bulan September 2024 – Oktober 2024 dengan kata kunci pada 6 database Pubmed, MEDLINE, Proquest, SAGE Journals, Science Direct, dan Google Scholar. Hasil: Tinjauan terhadap 6 jurnal menemukan bahwa Cawthorne Cooksey Exercise terbukti efektif meningkatkan keseimbangan dan mengurangi dizziness, dengan durasi 30-60 menit per sesi, 2-7 kali seminggu selama 2-6 bulan. Perbandingan antar intervensi yang diberikan menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas latihan dapat ditingkatkan melalui modifikasi dan pemantauan selama intervensi. Kesimpulan: Intervensi Cawthrone Cooksey Exercise efektif dalam meningkatkan keseimbangan dan menurunkan keluhan dizziness yang dialami oleh pasien dengan gangguan vestibular.
