Upaya Peningkatan Kemampuan Klien Hipertensi dalam Menurunkan Kecemasan melalui Psikoedukasi

Abstract

Hipertensi adalah peningkatan tekanan darah diatas normal atau lebih dari 140/90 mmHg. Kecemasan merupakan masalah psikologis terbanyak yang ditemukan pada   klien hipertensi . Kecemasan klien hipertensi disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan, pengobatan dan perawatan jangka panjang. Psikoedukasi adalah upaya untuk menurunkan kecemasan pada klien hipertensi. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat adalah peningkatan kemampuan klien hipertensi untuk menurunkan kecemasan melalui psikoedukasi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan psikoedukasi dilakukan oleh 30 orang klien hipertensi dengn kecemasan berdasarkan kuesioner gangguan kecemasan umum (GAD 7) di Bogor. Klien diberikan psikoedukasi sebanyak tujuh sesi . Evaluasi telah dilakukan setelah seluruh sesi selesai. Evaluasi yang telah diukur meliputi tingkat kecemasan, tingkat pengetahuan dan kemampuan mengelola hipertensi dan tingkat pengetahuan dan kemampuan mengelola kecemasan. Hasil dari psikoedukasi  adalah menurunnya kecemasan klien hipertensi, peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan untuk mengelola hipertensi dan kecemasan. Manfaat dari kegiatan ini adalah kecemasan menurun dan hipertensi terkontrol.
