Strategi Pencegahan Stunting: Pelatihan Pijat Bayi dan Antropometri pada Kader Posyandu
Abstract
Stunting, kondisi gagal tumbuh yang disebabkan oleh kekurangan gizi kronis pada anak, merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat global yang signifikan. Untuk mengatasi stunting, pendekatan yang holistik dan terintegrasi diperlukan, melibatkan berbagai strategi pencegahan yang efektif. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader posyandu dalam pencegahan stunting dengan penerapan pijat bayi dan pelatihan antropometri bagi kader Posyandu. Pelatihan ini mencakup edukasi teoritis dan praktik langsung, serta teknik untuk melakukan pengukuran dengan akurat dan efektif. Dengan membekali kader posyandu dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperlukan, diharapkan mereka dapat menerapkan teknik pijat bayi yang benar dan melakukan pengukuran antropometri secara tepat, sehingga dapat mendeteksi masalah pertumbuhan sejak dini dan memberikan intervensi yang tepat untuk mencegah stunting. Kegiatan dilakukan Bulan Juli hingga Agustus 2024. Kegiatan diikuti 20 kader posyandu. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di Desa Polokarto berlangsung lancar. Para kader posyandu sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan ditunjukkan dengan banyak pertanyaan dan mengikuti kegiatan hingga selesai. Rerata usia kader psoyandu 43,55 tahun dengan usia maksiaml 55 tahun. Pendidikan terakhir kader posyandu paling banyak adalah SLTA sebesar 45%. Hanya 10 % yang menempuh perguruan tinggi. Peningkatan rerata nilai pengetahuan kader posyandu terkait pijat bayi sebesar 22,25 poin dan mampu memplotingkan hasil status gizi di formulir dengan benar. Dengan mengintegrasikan teknik pijat bayi dan keterampilan pengukuran antropometri dalam strategi pencegahan stunting, dan mengembangkan program pelatihan yang komprehensif serta berkelanjutan, diharapkan kualitas pemantauan pertumbuhan anak dan pencegahan stunting di komunitas dapat meningkat secara signifikan.
