Konseling dan Pendampingan Pemberian ASI Pasca Sectio Caesaria Bayi Bingung Puting Susu
Abstract
Persalinan melalui sectio caesaria (SC) kerap menyebabkan keterlambatan dalam inisiasi menyusui dan meningkatkan risiko bingung puting pada bayi, yang berdampak pada kegagalan pemberian ASI eksklusif. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu menyusui pasca SC dalam menghadapi masalah tersebut melalui pendekatan konseling dan pendampingan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Klinik Srinatama, Tebing Tinggi, selama dua hari pada Mei 2025, dengan melibatkan 20 ibu menyusui pasca SC yang dipilih secara purposive. Metode kegiatan meliputi ceramah, demonstrasi teknik menyusui, praktik langsung dengan boneka laktasi, serta mini-konseling individual. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test pengetahuan, serta observasi keterampilan praktik menyusui menggunakan lembar checklist. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang signifikan, dimana pemahaman tentang perlekatan yang benar meningkat dari 65% menjadi 90%, dan keterampilan posisi menyusui pasca SC meningkat dari 40% menjadi 85%. Sebanyak 75% ibu berhenti menggunakan dot, dan mulai rutin melakukan kontak kulit-ke-kulit. Wawancara menunjukkan bahwa 90% peserta merasa lebih percaya diri dan siap menyusui secara eksklusif. Konseling dan pendampingan secara langsung terbukti efektif dalam mengatasi tantangan menyusui pasca SC, serta dapat menjadi strategi promotif-preventif yang penting untuk mendukung keberhasilan ASI eksklusif di komunitas.
