Senam Kegel: Exercise Guna Mengurangi Nyeri Haid pada Remaja
Abstract
Dismenore adalah kondisi nyeri panggul yang bersifat siklus dan persisten yang berhubungan dengan menstruasi. Ini juga bisa termasuk sakit kepala, kelelahan, mual, muntah, diare, sakit punggung, dan pusing. Olahraga telah diklaim bermanfaat untuk dismenore, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengajarkan dan menginformasikan kepada siswa terkait senam Kegel yang dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi nyeri haid pada remaja. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah presentasi materi, tanya jawab, diskusi, tutorial juga membagikan kuisioner untuk menilai tingkat pemahaman siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan sebagian besar responden berusia 16-17 tahun dan 4,6% dari mereka telah mengalami mentruasi pertama (menarche) di usia 10 tahun. Semua responden mengalami dismenore, akan tetapi lebih 81% di tahap sedang hingga berat. Mereka yang mengalami dismenore merasa terganggu aktivitasnya dan hampir 30% merasa dismenore itu sangat nyeri. Mereka melaporkan lebih dari 2 titik lokasi nyeri dengan rerata lama nyeri 1-2 hari. Ada peningkatan pengetahuan responden setelah diberi penyuluhan dan sekitar 20% penurunan persentase responden yang berpengetahuan kurang. Kegiatan ini sangat diapresiasi oleh para guru dan siswa untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kesehatan reproduksi khususnya terkait menstruasi dan permasalahannya serta meningkatkan kemandirian siswa dalam melakukan senam kegel secara mandiri dirumah saat dismenore.
