Hubungan Hiperurisemia dengan Disfungsi Seksual
Abstract
Hubungan antara asam urat dan disfungsi seksual telah sering diselidiki oleh penelitian dalam beberapa dekade terakhir. Meskipun adanya faktor risiko dan komorbiditas yang mirip serta kemungkinan efek dari komplikasi gout jangka panjang pada kesehatan seksual, kesadaran akan hubungan ini sangat kurang dan mekanisme patogenetik hanya sebagian yang telah diidentifikasi. Dalam tinjauan ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki bukti terkini mengenai mekanisme potensial yang menghubungkan disfungsi seksual dan asam urat. Sebuah pencarian literatur yang komprehensif dalam PubMed Central, Elsevier dan Google Cendekia dengan rentang waktu sepuluh tahun terakhir (2012-2022). Kata kunci yang digunakan adalah “disfungsi seksual”, “gout”, dan “hiperurisemia” yang menghasilkan 2.895 artikel kemudian dipilih 35 artikel yang dianggap relevan mengenai hubungan antara asam urat dan disfungsi seksual yang dilakukan untuk memberikan ringkasan bukti yang tersedia saat ini. Asam urat dan disfungsi seksual berbagi beberapa faktor risiko yang sama, termasuk diabetes, penyakit ginjal kronis, hipertensi, sindrom metabolik, dan penyakit pembuluh darah perifer. Serangan asam urat yang dipicu oleh respons peradangan yang intens menampilkan rasa sakit dan disabilitas yang parah, mengakibatkan fungsi seksual yang lebih buruk, tetapi tidak semua. Komplikasi asam urat jangka panjang, peradangan tingkat rendah dan beban psikologis asam urat memiliki dampak negatif pada kesehatan seksual.
