Literature Review Peranan Antidepresan terhadap Weight Change pada Pasien Depresi
Abstract
Depresi merupakan salah satu gangguan mental yang paling sering ditemui dan semakin meningkat prevalensinya. Salah satu penyebab depresi yaitu terjadinya disregulasi neurotransmitter. Antidepresan bekerja dengan memperbaiki kerja neurotransmitter diantranya dengan mencegah penarikan kembali serotonin dan norepinefrin di celah sinaps. Salah satu efek samping dari penggunaan antidepresan yaitu berupa perubahan pada berat badan. Mekanisme terjadinya perubahan berat dan pada penggunaan antidepresan memilki variasi bergantung jenis antidepresan yang dikonsumsi. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari literature review ini adalah untuk memberikan informasi mengenai peran antidepresan terhadap berat badan pada seseorang dengan depresi. Sumber referensi literature review ini berasal dari jurnal internasional yang diperoleh dengan melakukan literature searching di NCBI dan Google scholar dan dari 2 text books dengan rentang tahun publikasi dari 2015 hingga 2025. Kata kunci yang digunakan dalam proses literature searching ini yaitu “antidepressant” dan “weight gain” dengan hasil pencarian terdapat 686 artikel kemudian dipilih 20 artikel berdasarkan informasi yang dibutuhkan. Hasil studi literatur ini mengatakan bahwa antidepresan dapat menyebabkan weight gain atau weight loss bergantung pada jenis antidepresan dan lama waktu pengobatan.
