Manfaat Terapi Bekam bagi Kesehatan Tubuh
Abstract
Terapi bekam adalah praktik tradisional Tiongkok dan Timur Tengah yang digunakan untuk mengobati berbagai kondisi gangguan kesehatan. Stimulasi bekam dapat memberikan alasan mengapa bekam membantu berbagai kondisi. Manfaat bekam antara lain mengurangi rasa sakit, relaksasi otot, sirkulasi darah yang lebih baik, aktivasi sistem kekebalan tubuh, pelepasan toksin serta pembuangan limbah dan logam berat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui manfaat terapi bekam bagi kesehatan. Review artikel ini menggunakan artikel yang terpublikasi nasional dan internasional dengan menggunakan database Google Scholar dan PubMed. Kata kunci “terapi bekam” dan “kesehatan” mendapatkan 36 artikel dan sebanyak 10 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria. Peneliti melakukan analisis dengan membuat resume dari hasil penelitian kemudian dilakukan interpretasi dan kesimpulan. Artikel yang digunakan adalah publikasi dari tahun 2013-2023. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan bahwa terapi bekam adalah praktik kuno untuk membantu meredakan ketegangan, nyeri kronis, dan peradangan. Terapi ini menggunakan cangkir khusus yang meregangkan dan mengendurkan kulit dan otot. Bekam dapat merangsang saraf dan aliran darah untuk mengurangi rasa sakit. Hal ini juga dapat mendukung kemampuan penyembuhan tubuh sendiri. Terapi bekam dapat meningkatkan rejimen kesehatan. Terapi bekam dapat mengurangi gejala kelelahan, migrain, tekanan darah tinggi, dan sejumlah kondisi pernapasan.
