Keunggulan Wound Dressing Berbahan Aktif Alginat-Chitosan-Fucoidan dalam Mempercepat Proses Penyembuhan Luka

Abstract

Kulit berperan penting dalam melindungi tubuh dari  zat berbahaya dan mikroorganisme. Berdasarkan data Riskesdas tahun 2013, prevalensi masyarakat Indonesia yang mengalami luka cukup banyak yakni 48,2% dengan jenis luka tertinggi yang dialami penduduk Indonesia yaitu luka lecet sebesar 70.9%. Dalam dua dekade terakhir, wound dressing telah dikembangkan dengan berbagai kandungan bahan seperti kolagen, selulosa, sutra, kitosan, dan alginat. Dilaporkan bahwa alginat, chitosan, dan fucoidan (ACF) terbukti meningkatkan penyembuhan luka. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keunggulan Spons Alginat-Chitosan-Fucoidan dalam mempercepat penyembuhan luka. Artikel ini disusun dengan melakukan penelusuran sumber pustaka melalui Springer dan ScienceDirect sebanyak 21 artikel terbitan pada tahun 2000 hingga 2019 dengan menggunakan kata kunci yang berkaitan dengan judul yakni Fucoidan, alginat, wound dressing, wound healing. Metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu metode systematic literature review yaitu mengidentifikasi, mengkaji, mengevaluasi, dan menafsir semua penelitian yang ada dengan bidang topik denomena yang menarik. Hasil dari penelusuran artikel yang ditemukan yaitu Spons Alginat-Chitosan-Fucoidan dapat dijadikan alternatif wound dressing dengan keunggulannya dalam mempercepat penyembuhan luka karena memiliki kinerja hemostatik dan antibakteri yang baik. Selain itu Spons Alginat-Chitosan-Fucoidan memiliki elastisitas yang sangat baik.
